Tensegrity Octahedron Kit

A tensegrity octahedron you build with your hands.

A desktop model that floats its struts in a web of tension, the same principle your body uses to stay upright. It holds its shape through balanced tension, not stacked compression, so a pull in one place shifts the whole structure. Build it once and keep it on a desk or in a treatment room as a way to see, and show others, how a body carries load.

Built for ease of assembly.
Most tensegrity models are a fight to assemble, all fiddly threading and tensioning. This one uses a patent-pending assembly system designed to be the easiest way there is to build a tensegrity model. The pieces snap together, no tying or tangles involved. Assembly takes about 15 minutes at your own pace.

• An illustrated assembly guide, plus a short build-along video
